Day Twelve
(If it wasn't for bad luck...)

Greta couldn't believe it when she woke up this morning. One of the neighbours was in her bathroom! As soon as she got up, he took off. This was not going to be a good day, she could tell already. Breakfast was great, but then the toilet plugged, and the sink broke. Time to go to the catalogue. She ordered a new toilet and sink along with a dishwasher and a new table and chairs. Then Greta headed to check on the chickens.

Gross! Her first bad egg. Oh man that was rotten, literally. Sighing as she passed the crowd of neighbours to get to the water, Greta headed for the cave again. Why couldn't they do whatever it is they were doing on their own island?

Down at the cave, she felt her luck was really changing. She caught several fish before noticing the sharks closing in. Greta swam like mad for the cave, but didn't quite make it. After the attack, she surfaced and headed for home. It wasn't a great haul, but there were fish and a ruby. It would have to do.

At home Greta started looking for hobby-type things in the catalogue, but nothing caught her eye. Instead she tinkered for a bit with her stove trying to see how it worked, when it hit her. She wouldn't need to spend so much time cleaning if she cold make her stuff self-cleaning. A plan in mind for the future, Greta made herself some dinner and went to bed.

Tomorrow would be better, she just knew it.
